Hot, Hot, Hot...

Initially wanting to stay away from the idea of anything "hot", I was able to show and prove to Red Dragon Yoga that their unique differentiator was just that... Hot Yoga and it's benefits! Capturing their new brand's irreverent attitude... You will sleep like a baby tonight. You will win that next triathlon. You will get that long overdue promotion. You will be able to talk to your teenager. You will find total enlightenment. Yeah, maybe... But, at Red Dragon Yoga you will sweat. Guaranteed. With magazine ads, new studio signage, revised website in the works... Red Dragon is hot, hot, hot!

Tap Water In...

Freshly Filtered Water Out. I just completed a gig as a contract Creative Director on the rebranding of Camelbak (packaging, print advertising, interactive catalogs, event graphics and online social media campaign). Ah, water. Clean and simple.

At its best...

...the visual identity captures your company’s entire brand in one powerful design. It communicates your corporate vision, sets you apart from your competitors, and is a lasting, memorable, and engaging symbol for customers, employees, and shareholders. Brands matter, and never more so than today. In the escalating noise of global choice and competition, brands are the most effective way of cutting through the commotion to reach people's hearts and minds. The above logos are just some of the more successful, enduring and award-winning identities that I've created. Each one is a powerful statement about where that brand stands today and where it’s heading. That’s a lot to pack into something so small.

California Dreamin'...

California Closets is a brand based on a simple belief: Our homes are places that hold the people we love, and the treasures and memories of our lives. With this in mind, I developed their new campaign, "SPACE TO BE"... The national advertising campaign and the new dyadic website (click above), to simply say that everyone has the right to have the space to be who they are, do what they want, and live the life they want to live.

Teamwork and Blackjack...

Stage II (large event producers) chose to team up with Adam469 to strategize and design a series of visual concepts (5 of 9 above; click on them to view larger) and overall event proposal. The three concepts each followed three graphic paths: A corporate branded direction; a raw, illustrative look & feel; and an innovative "Vegas" photographic solution. With seven other firms competing for this prestigious project, the account was awarded to Stage II based on it's thorough strategy, and the breadth of proposed design possibilities. Now the real work begins... ALL IN!

"If you can dodge traffic..."

Through my friends at LeapFrog, I was referred to NVIDIA, World Leader in Computing Technologies. And as all successful corporate cultures know... Keep your people happy! With that said, what could be more fun (and worthwhile) than a company-wide dodgeball competition for charity? Needing a poster (and web-site), I suggested exploring two different design directions; one that was cool, hip, and edgy; and one that was fun, playful, and comic-like. Ultimately, the more bold, movie-inspired concept was chosen, as the humorous design was amusingly described as looking "too painful". Another effective solution, another happy client!

Sun, Fun, and Love...

Check out my stage backdrop design at Live 105's BFD music festival at the Shoreline. Along with the perfect weather and the amazing plethora of colorful body "art", the highlight of the show was surprise, surprise... Courtney Love (no, really!). What a fun way to start the Summer of twenty-ten.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions...

Sonoma Valley Hospital asked me to develop three advertising campaign concepts for them to choose from... Which of these three unique directions do you think they decided to pursue and develop?

Dancing, Blueberries, Sunscreen...

These engaging "Sonoma Health" full-color newspaper ads (3 shown of 12) showcase the limitless array of simple everyday preventative health ideas focusing on lifestyle, nutrition, and supplements. Then, within the copy emerges a warm, powerful and uniquely personal Sonoma Valley Hospital story, ultimately reinforcing the benefits of having a full-service hospital close to home; from 24-hour emergency care, to the latest in diagnostic technology, and an excellent and caring medical staff. This ad campaign has immediately been met with such staff support and community enthusiasm that the hospital has contracted for more ads and is also planning to create framed wall posters of each.

The times they are a ch-ch-changin'...

I was recently approached by SolutionSet (formerly Haggin Marketing) to strategize, design and deliver on a direct-mail program for the new Chipotle Kids' Menu. It needed to be engaging, educational, and ultimately drive transactions. I don't know 'bout you, but I'm hungry!

LogoLoungin'...

Always rewarding, sometimes award-winning... The Collabrus identity, that I created while the CD at Addwater2, has just been selected to be in LogoLounge's inaugural Master Library book series. Like the existing LogoLounge book series, the new Master Library books will bring plenty of exemplary logo design work from around the world. Each book in the Master Library series will focus on a very specific logo design category, with the first being "Initials & Crests"... Cool.

Think Small. Say Cheese.

A few months ago, two of my friends, both in need of a new challenge, started making cheese. And when they asked me to design a brand identity and label for them, I smiled with approval. Now, they can't produce their cheeses fast enough - selling to all the swankiest restaurants in the Bay Area (i.e. Chez Panisse) and the Wine Country (i.e. French Laundry). Go BoHo, Go!

Lights, Camera...

The Sonoma International Film Festival asked me to develop a visual brand for all of their print and online advertising and merchandise. Can you say... Lights, camera, SONOMA!!!
